Why?

Why?

As a LYFT driver I have a front seat (literally) vantage point for seeing a lot of strange phenomena. One that I have observed, of late, is the proliferation of strange hair colors and I wonder “why?”.

In the last few days, I’ve seen male and female heads tressed out in pink, blue, orange, purple, green and red (unnaturally red) hair and in some cases hair that looked like neapolitan ice cream. Do they even make neapolitan ice cream anymore?

To be quite frank, I don’t understand the male drive for such a display and suspect some psychological struggle behind it … but then I didn’t understand Dennis Rodman either! On the female head, I find very little attractive about such flamboyant color displays. I suppose I would rate its attractiveness on a par with a woman who smells like an ash tray and has a cigarette hanging from her mouth. When the two factors are combined in one person it is a fatal flaw in my book.

Today I heard about a 16 year old daughter who was dying her hair a brilliant red and called her mom at work in a panic. She had left the lid off the dye and it got knocked off the countertop, landing on the gray and white cat … well … now the gray and white and red cat!

Poor cat …

On a related note, I’ve observed more and more gray hair in my beard and moustache in recent years. Might it be fun to dye my facial hair a lovely aqua hue? What do you all think? 😉
