Random Musings of a LYFT Driver

  1. Teens and early 20’s people don’t know how to dress for the very cold weather (no jacket, no gloves, no hat).
  2. Older folk don’t know how to dress for the very cold weather (pajamas and boots with hats but light jackets.
  3. Even in a spacious SUV there is not sufficient room for some folks.
  4. Multiple people for whom there is not sufficient room will seriously test the suspension.
  5. The revelation of the fact that the driver is a Pastor is an effective way create a quiet hush in cases where one’s rowdy and profanity spewing passengers are under the influence of alcohol.
  6. There is ample opportunity to provide a LIFT to many people while being a LYFT driver.
  7. Those who laid out the grid of streets in portions of Dubuque must have been geometrically challenged.
  8. Those who made the rules allowing parking all the way to the corners on narrow roads were never LYFT drivers.
  9. There are a lot of interesting people out there!
  10. Being a LYFT driver is a lot like being a combination of a pastor and a bartender
  11. Seeing a person walking down the street at 5am in a full bunny suit is on a par with seeing a high school track team running in the rain with one of them holding an open umbrella.
  12. There are far more TRUMP supporters, who voluntarily offer that information, than one might suppose.
  13. Driving before dawn, while the city still sleeps, is good therapy.
  14. There are a lot of people out there who need Christ!

I’m enjoying imagining it mental image of you as a Pastor/Bartender! The one pastor I once knew who who moonlighted as a bartender was an interesting person.

I don’t know about the mental image … but I’m sure you have been in situations which placed you in a similar role! One does not serve the Lord and His people for as Longgggggg as YOU have without those experiences! 😉
