September 25, 2009 at 10:19 amI have found great joy in meeting with a group of “young eagles” every other Saturday afternoon for about 21/2 hours in what we call Leadership Development. We discuss theology, church, missions and leadership. They are given a very intensive homework assignment each session and come back prepared to discuss. They enjoy playing “Stump the Pastor”. I find it challenging, convicting, and also lots of fun. I am excited about what God is doing and will do through these young men.

September 27, 2009 at 6:09 amThat is great Frank! I spent the weekend at a conference where that sort of thing was broadly part of the conversation … training up men for the next generation. It is sadly such a weak link in so many of our local churches … may your tribe increase!
