Garage Sale Woman Starts Her Climb On the Charts!
September 22, 2009
You will remember that I posted the lyrics that were inspired by a customer at my garage sale over the week-end. While I had the lyrics I had no tune for them. Well a reader (Danno) provided this demo of this song which is surely destined to become a hit! Tell me what you think!
Here are the lyrics again … and the link to the audio. Share it with others … who knows where it will take us!
GARAGE SALE WOMAN
She’s a woman on a mission striding up my drive
With her stovepipe jeans and her ruby lips
Her high-heel shoes and her sashay hips
She’s not the prettiest woman alive …
But she’s a Garage Sale Woman!
A Garage Sale Woman!
And she’s pretty to me if she’s got my price
She passed up the baubles and the clothes in a pile
She rushed right through the jewelry aisle
Turned up her nose at the kitchen magic
Smiled as she looked at all my gadgets …
She’s a Garage Sale Woman!
A Garage Sale Woman!
And she’s pretty to me if she’s got my price
It was all over quick as she made her choice
A six foot cable – and her husky voice
Said “this is it” … as she prepared to spend
“I like it because of the pretty ends”!
She’s a Garage Sale Woman!
A Garage Sale Woman!
And she’s pretty to me if she’s got my price!
