Pajama Party in the Garage
December 13, 2011
Cleaning the garage seems to be a bi-annual chore around here. Once in the Spring and then again in the Fall. The problem this year was that Spring cleaning was just never done seriously and so Linda’s clutter just continued to grow through the summer until, come Fall, there was barely room to get the car in. Being the considerate husband that I am, I expressed my willingness to help her clean her garage, gather up all the accumulated trash, put all her scattered tools away and ruthlessly discard “stuff” that she’s been hording out there for who knows how many years. It required not only a solid chunk of time last week but another solid chunk this morning as well. The fun part was that we made it into something of a Pajama Party!!! At my prodding, we were out there shortly after 8AM in our PJ’s finishing the job by 10AM, and in time for the garbage collectors to carry off all of the buried treasures that we decided to part with.
Oooops … even as I’m typing this she’s asking me where a particular bird feeder is that I tossed into the garbage when she wasn’t looking .. uh oh!
