I Had a Dream
May 12, 2020
I’ve been engaged, since the beginning of the month, in the task of making 400 face masks (an additional 100 of these masks is being made by one gracious helper), with the objective of finishing them by Memorial Day. I just discovered that Memorial day is NOT at the end of the month but falls on the 25th, several days before I anticipated! Ugh … but we hit the 220 mark today and with 180 to go I think we’ll be alright. But that is not what I wanted to write about in this post.
I dreamed about the activity of mask making last night. It seems as though I had discovered a way to make invisible face masks. A government agency found out about my discovery and sent agents to my home to contract for 1000 invisible masks for the members of Congress. I asked why members of Congress wanted invisible masks and was told “If we tell you we have to kill you.” I accepted the contract for something in the neighborhood of 5000.00 per mask.
Linda and I started making the masks and she kept asking me how in the world were we going to keep track of how many we had made when they were invisible. I told her not to worry about it, I would figure it out; that at 5000.00 per mask we would come up with a way.
Most of the other details of the dream are gone from my mind today but this much has been rolling around in my head for most of the day so I thought perhaps I ought to document it in case it ever becomes relevant to anything … anything at all.
