Sappy Old People …

Here we are, my girlfriend and me, watching a movie … The Age of Adeline .. on TV. We are basically just chillin’ as we anticipate final preparations tomorrow for our trip to Florida. In the movie, the title character came home to find her beloved dog lying on the floor, obviously very ill. The conversation with the Vet was poignant. “What would you do if it were you?” He said, “I’d start thinking about what a wonderful life he has had with you.”
I could not help it. Tears came to my eyes and my chin began to quiver … silly, I know. I managed to get out the words, “I miss my kitty.” and looked over to my girlfriend to find her crying as well.
Are we two sappy old people?

February 27, 2020 at 7:11 amYou may be sappy old people, but there are lots of us. I still get tears in my eyes at times when I think of my Missy and she has been gone for almost 1-1/2 years. Pets do that to we “sappy old people”
