To the Slice & Dice Center

With only an hour left before I check in to the local “slice and dice” center (a.k.a. “hospital”), I am enjoying my last moments of mobility and comfort before several weeks of immobility and “pain and torture” (aka PT-Physical Therapy) following the replacement of my left knee. Lord willing, we’ll do this without all the peripheral drama that attended the right knee last Fall. Thankful for my girlfriend who will be my loving attending nurse, strict therapy master, gentle encourager, occasional treat provider, and diligent pill pusher for the next weeks!

Home again…11 hour day. I’m ready for nap….girlfriend is bustling about in nurse mode…getting meds and equipment ready…making last minute adjustments to house arrangements and demonstrating her love and commitment to me. I am blessed!
