Sunday After

Written from Linda’s perspective:

We attended the Atwater Community Bible Church this morning but not before Tim had some fun with the car horn.  Someone’s car alarm went off and the horn beeped for couple of minutes before it went off.  Then Tim sat in our room and hit the lock button on the key fob to blow the horn on our car a few times.  Someone else did the same thing and before you knew it, there were 5 or 6 people who were  blowing their horns at random in the parking lot of the Motel.  Tim called it a “car horn symphony!”.

Tim preached from John 4 during the service and Mike and Valerie were present, leaving for a whirlwind tour of San Francisco before returning home.  The folks of the church were so kind and expressed hopes that we will come again sometime.  They did a lot for Mom and Noreen.

After church we stopped at Fosters Freeze (a favorite place of Tim’s Mom and Dad) where we got a peach/caramel shake and a chocolate/strawberry one.  We made our way to downtown Merced and went to a showing of the movie “Guardians of the Galaxy”.  It was pretty good although I had to wake up Tim near the beginning of the movie.  I think he may have seen most of  it though.

We stopped afterward at the Merced Antique Mall, and then had dinner at Pinocchio’s Italian Restaurant.  Had a wonderful White Lasagna with garlic bread.  After dinner we walked around a bit and sat in the shade on a park bench for a while.

When we returned to the room at 5 PM, Tim zonked out and was snoring almost immediately.  I think he was worn out from “everything”.  😉
